From the beginning, our mission at Santa Barbara Sky FC has been to create more than just a team. We’re building a community organization that reflects the rich soccer history, culture, and people of every corner of the 805. This is soccer country. Santa Barbara and the Central Coast deserve a club that matches the passion of this region and its fans.
After careful evaluation, we’ve decided that Santa Barbara Sky will not be kicking off next season as planned. This doesn’t mean we’re slowing down. We’re finalizing the ownership group and preparing for sanctioning, with a plan to take the field in March 2027. The additional time allows us to do this the right way and build a club ready to thrive.
The support from our fans keeps us moving forward, and when Sky FC makes its debut, it will be worth the wait. Until then, we’ll be out in the community, growing our fan base and building together.
We are, and will continue to be, all one under the Sky.
